California raised, living in NYC
I've been a painter all my life, always an artist with a day job. I was a Chef for most of the first 30 years of working life.
When I wasn't a Chef, my day jobs included Co-Director at an Art Gallery, Development Director at an NPR station and a Building Manager for an international slumlord.
For the past 12 years, my day job has been a Web Designer - Social Media Producer at a retail store.
Currently, I mostly make art with an iPhone for online sharing and have fun sussing out the Social Web.

Listening to Kutiman while getting ready for the Playing For Change Band
Not wanting to get burned out on "Stand By Me" and "One Love", before
we leave for Town Hall for the "Playing for Change" concert,

culture. Kutiman in a risky, adhoc way and Playing for Change in an
institutionally friendly way. Each of them are admirable and are
equally revolutionary, in their seperate ways.
Each of the music projects produce beautiful music and vital new culture.

Playing For Change | Peace Through Music

We recorded this uplifting, joyful song during one of our travels through Spain. We had just finished a magical shoot with a percussionist from Ghana named Malik, and were hanging out at our good friend—and location manager—Brian Heinen’s flat in Barcelona.
At some point Clarence joined us, and introduced us to his friend Hugo Soares from Angola. In true PFC spirit, what began as an organic acoustic jam slowly transformed the atmosphere into a truly special experience. And so... we grabbed our cameras and recording equipment so we could share the experience with you.
